Hello Everyone,
The news on Gabriel is about the same. His counts are even lower. We received a blood transfusion today because his Hemoglobin is 6.8 (normal is 11). He will need a platelet transfusion later this week. His platelets (clots blood when injured, cut, etc.) are 69 with normal being 140 - 440. His white blood cells (infection fighting cells) count is .270 normal 5.0 - 11.0. Leaving his ANC .050 (normal 2.0-6.0) Gabriel did get a fever this morning before our appointment, but we were blessed to not be admitted. His temp went down in the hospital.
With his counts being so low he should be pale, tired and cranky. He is very playful, full of energy, happy and loves watching He-Man. Looking at him we can't tell his body is dealing with so much. I know all of you will keep him in your prayers. We are home-bound until he covers. We'd appreciate any emails or phone calls to keep us encouraged. (As most of you do already.)
We will keep you updated, we love you all and we thank you from our hearts,
Angela
